Manual Extract: Main-line-pressure drop to reduce shock at clutch engagement

The main pressure drops because oil flows into the reverse clutch piston chamber which is empty, and also because, even after oil has started to flow into the chamber, a small amount of oil drains through the residual-pressure prevention orifice in the chamber.

Then, the oil pessure in the modulator chamber drops as the oil is discharged over the check valve, and thus the modulator piston moves to the left because the spririg force on the right side of the piston becomes larger than the oil pressure on the left side of the piston. Because the drain piston is at the reset position (left end) at this time, the oil in the modulator chamber rapidly drains out through the drain port
